History of Institute
Canacona Govt ITI is located at Mastimol,Canacona which is 4 kms distance away from Canacona Railway station & 3 kms away from Canacona Bus Stand.
This Industrial Training Institute was established in the year1980 in the sheds of Government Civil Supplies. A landed plot admeasuring 15000 m2 was acquired by Government for this institute. Then it was shifted at the present location in the year 1985i.e Workshop Block. The annex block i.e. Administrative Block was constructed in the year 1988.This institute having total built area of 3484m2 and Open area 11516.24 m2.
This institute presently runs 11 CTS trades and 02 COE trades. The Trades namely COPA, Electrician, Fitter, Electronics Mech., Mechanic Diesel, Sewing Technology, Welder & Carpenter are affiliated to NCVT(National Council Vocational training) New Delhi, India . Plumber & Wireman trades are affiliated to SCVT(State Council Vocational training) and Driver cum Mechanic is a Short Term Course. The Hospitality Management (BBBT) and Advanced Module runs under COE.
